Latest News about Orewa College and Orewa Rotary club’s Trees for Survival Program 2009
Seedlings that were transferred into root trainers August of last year were ready to be planted into bags at the beginning of the school year. Year 8 students completed this task enthusiastically and the young trees are growing well. Trees that reach 30cm or higher will be planted at a site in Warkworth (we haven’t been told exactly where yet) by the students in August (either the 5th or the 18th).
So a very successful   programme continue. We will be keeping Rotary members in touch if we need help on the days.
